Meet the team

Nursery Manager Lydia Adams

“Hello, I am Lydia and I am going to be your Nursery Manager. I live locally myself, and I am a mum to 3 busy boys. I began working in Early Years in 2007, alongside my childcare studies. On completion of my Level 3 Diploma in Childcare I still felt hungry to learn, and I went on to study for my Early Years Foundation Degree at Kingston University, which I completed in 2013.

I am passionate about high quality early years provision, and committed to providing an outstanding service to all our children and their families too. I love spending time in the rooms interacting with the children and the staff. My extensive day nursery background gives me a deep understanding of Nursery life, and I use my first-hand experience to support the team here on a day-to-day basis.

I was the Manager here at Little Oaks in 2015 before I had my youngest son, in July of that year. As such, I have a clear shared vision for the Nursery, which has enabled me to jump straight back into life here at Little Oaks. I was delighted to be offered the opportunity to take care of the Nursery again, it is a fantastic setting which I am proud to be a part of.”

Deputy Manager

“Hello, my name is Stacey and I am your Deputy Manager here at Little Oaks Children’s Nursery. I started working for the nursery in March 2018. I have been working in childcare since 2008, during which time, I completed my Level 3 in Health and Social care, before moving on to complete my Level 3 in Childcare. I grew up in rural Somerset and moved to London with my husband a little over 6 years ago.

I have always been passionate about working with children, especially after seeing my mum work in childcare all her life. To be able to contribute to a child’s learning and development from such a young age and help them build the foundations of education is one of the most rewarding jobs you can have! In my previous role I was a Baby Room Leader for a little over 4 years and so whilst the majority of my experience is with under 2’s, I love spending time with all the children across the setting.

I divide my time each day equally between the nursery rooms where I interact with the children and support the staff, and the office where I deal with parent queries, carry out admin tasks and generally support the smooth running of the nursery. I really enjoy building relationships with the children and working in partnership with parents.
